Hey GUYS!!!! This is an RP set in Isiya. Yay. So that means you can make characters like in the old forum. Hopefully some people will actually want to join because I'm gettin really bored... So bored I've thought about starting to play Runescape again... Please... For my sake join...

Anyway. This RP is based around a man named Vorian Delnan. Vorian was 5 years old when he was adopted by the king of Sarno. Sarno is one of two rival kingdoms which engage in war constantly.

Vorian became a healer to help out in the army to help stop pain. He feels it may make up for his horrible childhood. However, Vorian has a special talent which he hates himself for having. He has the power to use intense white magic, which pretty much blows up anything around him. He doesn't like it and so he has never used it or practiced it except when he first learned about it.

The conflict in the story is, something is amiss with the king of Sarno, he commands Vorian to use his magic to destroy the opposing kingdom. Vorian is forced to by soldiers and he passes out. When he wakes up, everything in a half mile radius is gone. He runs away from their in the opposite direction of Sarno and the king sends soldiers and eventually monsters to get him back. Vorian vows to find out whats happening to the king and help him, even if it means killing him.

Name: Vorian Delnan
Nickname: Vor

Appearance:
Height: 6'1"
Hair: Dirty, dishelved, blond hair
Eyes: Light blue with fatigue lines
Clothes: Olive drab tunic. It is cut, torn, dirty, and has blood stains.
Equipment: None

Personality: Vorian is an innocent person. He hates pain, and even more so death. Even though he has the power to stop the war between the two kingdoms, he knew he couldn't because that would require the destruction of Sarno's rival kingdom.

History: Adopted by the King of Sarno when he was 5. Parents killed in a battle 6 months earlier. He became a healer but had an extremely rare ability. This ability was known as "purifying" magic. It varies in power depending on the user but can level buildings in a wide area and the shockwave can cause even further damage. 18 years after Vor was adopted, the king forced him to go to the rival kingdom and "purify" it. He was sent with an escort party of 10 armed soldiers; they were not sent to protect him. After the ensusing destruction, Vor ran and the king sent soldiers to pursue him. Vorian vows to save the person who saved him for he is sure the king is being manipulated.

Powers: Healing powers. Vorian is quite skilled at healing magic and can heal himself or others.

Binding magic: Vorian can silence a person's magic ( assuming that person isn't powerful) and hinder their movements with these spells.

Protection: By casting this spell, Vor can protect allies from magic. Takes a lot of energy to due so and he can't use ir on too many people.

Purification: This power was meant only for the gods to wield and Vor laments having it. That is probably why he was "gifted" with it, for the gods know it won't be used for the wrong reasons. When Vor uses this spell, he spends a massive amount of energy in the process, leaving him weak for days. This spell completely vaporises everything (other than the ground of course, don't ask me why it doesn't go away) within a 0.5 mile radius and the ensuing shockwave travels for 2 miles, leaving killed and wounded in its wake.

Weakness: Vorian is a human and weak to evrything a human is weak to. He can heal himself though so he can take a couple hits without going down.

Clothes: relatively intact short-sleeved shirt. brown pants and metal-toed boots (or whatever you call them)
Equipment: a small charm hangs around his neck which amplifies his shapeshifting powers

Personality: devious, michevious (sp), and is a generally happy-go-lucky person. often shrugs off small problems, but easily absorbed in bigger ones. will usually find the easiest way out, but he'll cooperate when needed.

History: his family were also shapeshifters, and it was the family business to shapeshift to fit whatever fit people's needs. he decided to go traveling for a little bit, and got a little lost along the way. he doesn't really mind, though, and is taking his sweet time to get home.

Powers: shapeshifting, includes voice changes. the higher quality/difficulty the shapeshift, the less he can hold it. i.e.: if he were to change into something 5 times his size, he'd be able to hold it for about 15 minutes. if he just needed to change his hair or eyes, he could hold it for days on end.
fire-casting: he knows the very basics of the craft, and managed to learn a firework-like spell not too long ago. the highest-damage attack he can craft can give the opponent small 2nd-3rd degree burns.

Weakness: vunerable while shifting. takes a lot of time to recover from big shifts, and is often weak and can't defend himself very well while he recovers. also can't really cast fire during the time, but he can cast flares and distractions while recovering.

General: Fair complexion with a pretty face. She's not unbelievably blessed with beauty, but far from ugly.
Height: 5'4''
Hair: Brunette, lined with blazing crimson streaks she received as a child
Eyes: White, again unnaturally received as a child
Clothes:
Top/Under: Black undershirt
Top: Long, red robes
Bottom: Black slacks

Personality:
Irascible to the extreme. The slightest annoyances may cause her to explode. Taut, serious, and a no-mistakes personality ruin her sociability, due to social ineptness as a child. Does not get along well. Immune to the plight of others, due to extreme lack of empathetic and sympathetic ability.

History:

There is a saying that time heals all wounds. This is not the case with Else Rai. As she saw her family torn away from her in front of her young eyes, she fled, the images of their slaughter burned into her mind. At the age of 9, she was caught stealing, and turned over to the king's men. However, the agents discovered something quite unusual about Else. Unnaturally powerful magical blood coursed through her veins, which would grant her unspoken, incredibly powerful magical abilities. The king's men, eager to make use of these abilities, wasted no time forcing her through grueling tests and brutal training to evaluate and awaken her intrinsic powers. All the while, the bitterness in her heart only seemed to grow and grow, until it shaped her heart into something ugly. Her heart, once grieving from the loss of those she loved, hardened to the point that no emotion could ever make it crack. Along with this came a unquenchable thirst for blood. But this is exactly what the king desired: the best soldiers are those without feelings. As soon as she became of age, 15 in the Isiyan world, she was forced into the king's ranks as one his most powerful magicians and executioners. However, it was only a few months did she realize she had not ever killed a capable human, just the test subjects the king's men laid out for her. Something inside her itched. After discovering the dilemma of Vorian, and his ability of "purification," she sets out for her own reasons...

Powers

Arcane Magic: Unknown, experimental, highly destructive and violent magic that the king's men forced upon her, with exceptional results. This type of magic is extremely erratic, yet can be used to accomplish all sorts of tasks, provided it does not turn on the user. Else, however, as one of the lucky ones, happened to master this particular form of magic and is capable of bending it to her will and whim. At the slightest effort she can detonate objects with incredible force, be it walls to dust or people in storms of gore, tear men apart limb by limb, or handle objects with the intricacy and delicacy of one's hands.

Negation: Stemming from her prowess in the widely general Arcane form of magic, Else possesses the ability to simply "cancel" or negate the spells of her opponents, if they are also wizards. Blazing fireballs turn to wisps of smoke, ice daggers melt to innocuous puddles of water and spells will simply fizzle, or even explode in their caster's face.

Shielding: Basic training in Arcane magic allows Else to generate a certain barrier in a certain radius around her that is able to repel certain attacks. Swords and spells simply bounce off, even if she isn't paying attention.

Weaknesses

Humanity: As Else is a human, anything that would harm a person would also harm her. Despite having endured the monstrosities of the king's mens' training, Else remains a very fragile young woman incapable of taking much physical or magical harm.

Distraction: Even though she is mostly indifferent to the words her opponents say to her, Else can be driven to a bloody rage if provoked correctly. This can be either good for her opponent, or bad...

Cancellation/Prediction: Removing her ability to cast magic (difficult because her skill stems from the Arcane strain of magic) makes her effectively useless. Those highly attuned to magic an also sense the movements of her seemingly "invisible" magic.

Just for everyone's information (I know I didn't make it clear that's why I'm sayin gt now) the king of Sarno was a kind person. He was the less aggressive king between the king of Sarno and Agraia. The point of the story is that something is messed up with the king so if anyone has to alter the history of their characters (shinypuffy) to follow the plot, I apologize for the inconveniences...

For future reference the king of Sarno himself is very uninvolved with her history. It will be explained later on.
